Claire Walked Into the Bridal Room

Claire barely remembered ending the call.

She knew only one thing.

She needed to speak to Hannah.

A bridesmaid tried to stop her outside the dressing room.

Claire opened the door anyway.

Hannah was standing in front of a mirror wearing her wedding dress.

Their mother, Diane, was adjusting the back.

Both women turned.

Hannah’s face instantly changed.

“Claire?”

Claire looked between them.

“Someone want to tell me what’s happening?”

Their mother stepped forward.

“Honey, not here.”

Claire pointed toward the ballroom.

“That’s my venue.”

Hannah looked confused.

“What?”

“My venue. My decorations. My flowers.”

Hannah turned toward their mother.

“Mom?”

Diane closed the door.

“We can talk about this calmly.”

Claire stared at her.

“You told Marcus to lie to me?”

Nobody answered.
