Then Linda Took Samantha’s Bouquet
The photographer was waiting.
Guests were watching from a distance.
Linda clearly wanted the argument over.
She reached toward Samantha.
“Give me this for a second.”
Before Samantha realized what she was doing, Linda had taken her bouquet.
“Linda.”
Linda walked toward Allison.
Samantha followed.
“What are you doing?”
Linda handed the bouquet toward Allison.
“Just hold this while we organize everyone.”
Allison immediately put her hands up.
“No. Absolutely not.”
But Samantha had already seen enough.
She grabbed the bouquet back.
Linda held onto the ribbon.
For a second, neither woman released it.
“Let go.”
Linda stared at her.
“You are making a spectacle of yourself.”
Samantha pulled the bouquet toward herself.
“You handed my wedding bouquet to his ex.”
“It was for five seconds!”
The Bouquet Started Coming Apart
One ribbon loosened.
Several flowers shifted.
Samantha gasped.
Linda finally released it.
Samantha looked down.
A few petals had fallen onto the floor.
Nothing was destroyed.
But she was furious.
“You do not touch my things again.”
Linda stepped forward.
“Don’t speak to me like that.”
Samantha replied:
“Then stop acting like this is your wedding.”
That was when Allison tried to leave.
Linda blocked her.
“No. Stay.”
Allison stared at her.
“I should never have come.”
Linda answered:
“You’re family.”
Samantha heard it.
So did Daniel.
